In my first months of work at MJF, I’ve had the opportunity to work on an incredible community-wide travel opportunity—Experience Israel 2023.

This week-long trip to Israel, planned for April 16–23, 2023, will give our amazing Minnesota Jewish community a chance to come together in a unique celebration of 75 years of Israeli independence— a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Describing this trip is difficult, if only because there’s so much to be excited about. We’ve partnered with Israeli tour company Via Sabra to customize a fresh and inspiring trip experience for our community. Not only does Experience Israel 2023 feature a week of community-building with fellow Minnesotans and Israeli counterparts, but you’ll have the opportunity to customize your trip to fit your interests and passions.

Need time in nature, or a day on the beaches of Tel Aviv? You got it.

We’re also offering pre- and post-trip extensions—join us at the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly on April 24–26, and at celebrations of Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut unlike any you've seen before.

Join us for a beach-side Shabbat as we light the candles and watch the waves roll in. Spend Yom Hashoah in a forest with six million trees that were planted to honor the memory of the Jews who perished in the Holocaust. See Israel in a fresh light, and form bonds with your fellow travelers: your community. Your people. Your new friends—ones you’ll bring home with you when you return from a trip you’ll be talking about for the rest of your life.
